Who the heck knows? Here’s what I do know. Since October we’ve had a mad dash for how much can happen, and how crazy we can go before hitting the old wine. (and as you can see, I could not even get in the mood to drink more than a little for crying out loud!) In October our daughter was attacked by a German Shepherd at a friends house, it tried to tear off a good portion of her little 7 year old face. Of course you can all imagine the number of appointments, the problems with that, we had two secondary infections to fight, and are just now getting a better understanding of what scars she’ll be left with. In November we had family that rides the “crazy train” try to rope us back in for another bumpy ride to destination, “kiss my butt I wish I wasn’t related to you “… thankfully we’ve played this game enough to again request distance, and basically ignore the request of another ride. Also in November I got a huge surprise, my daughter I had when I was a teen was looking for me, and ready to make contact, and so the long , fun, bittersweet road of a relationship began, and of course I had time for little else with my first child back in the mix. Then came the magic of December which brought both my teenage daughters birthday and Christmas! As well as a Tard-A-Scooby. What is a Tard-A-Scooby you ask?
All and all, I’m looking forward to the New year, we had a wonderful Christmas, my favorite gifts being the vintage Coach bucket purse my hubby bought me, and an aromatherapy necklace handmade he found for me as well, blown glass and sterling silver. My favorite gift that came out of our home was this:
I cooked and baked my butt off, I worried and fretted that everyone got what they wanted, I wrapped and cleaned, we did our yearly tour of a huge lighted Christmas Village and light display, and in the end it was as perfect a holiday as our family is capable of having. Now I hope we can slow down, and have no more surprises or issues, and I can get back to blogging! We’re also very excited to be getting a face lift here on the site soon, and some more ideas to help the juices of fun flow! So Happy New Year everyone, let us know what was best about your holiday too!

“As perfect a holiday as our family is capable of having.” That has got to be one of the best lines ever!

That is one cool gift! The best part of my holiday was lazing around on January 1st. Got out of bed late, didn’t shower until night time, played games and hung out with family until 10:00 as we nursed hangovers and ate junk.

Ahahaha. Oh Joe! We did alot of that too, I LOVE it, that is actually my favorite part of the holidays, the lazing with the family, stuffing our faces, seeing the kids anticipate everything. I almost miss it now…a l m o s t. Post a comment
