I am a peace-loving hippie child of sorts. I wonder why there can’t be harmony amongst us? I ask myself why did the early American government work so hard to give its people freedoms and choices, yet decide that they were to make the biggest division in history? I mean, think about it…Our country is divided by parties, which in turn led to separation in every aspect of daily life. We fight and argue over silly things such as race, religion, women’s rights, immigrant rights, and which country to invade or pull out of next. Let a housewife, yes a regular housewife, become President…you will hear “You don’t come out of this room until you agree!”, or “Quit being a weenie and throwing low blows to a person’s beliefs or way of living, cause the hard part is to understand and love.” It seems to me that everything the pilgrims set out to have or accomplish was crushed by someone’s big head…Isn’t there enough room for a whole bunch of medium sized heads? Why can’t we the land of the brave, have enough gusto to set aside our own thoughts to listen to someone else’s? We just might learn a thing or two.
